so just to let you know I work also in 3d :P
this is something old I've found in my hd but I dont have the source file or a high res image anymore. :(

I made this to test volumetric lights. The original image is a beautiful illustration by *ANTIFAN-REAL you can see it here [link] (I have his authorization)

This is done in 3d studio max, mental ray, volumetric light, my own textures done in photoshop.

I love this. It has a much more gentle feel than the original. It's a nice antidote to his frightening one. To me, it's almost religious, even though I'm not religious. Heh, odd.
